Note: passwords are case sensitive. Your Moodle username and password is the same as your Walsh College Portal username and password.

Once log in to Moodle you will see your landing page, called the Dashboard. This is a customizable page, and will serve as "home base" for you.
From here, you can easily access your course by clicking on the course title.

When you enter a course, you will see in the upper right corner a "Turn editing on" button. You will utilize this button often in the facilitation of your course. It will turn on many editing items for you, including:

  • Icons for opening/closing course materials
  • The ability to edit or update content
  • Edit a summary (or Announcement)
  • Add an activity or resource

You may want to get into the habit of automatically turning editing on any time you enter your course.

Once in your course, you will notice two "blocks" on the left hand side of your screen. They are the Navigation block and Administration block. These blocks contain folders which can be expanded or collapsed.
